Growing up, I faced relentless bullying in school for things beyond my control - my height, size, and severe acne. Supportive treatments were not just expensive, they seemed utterly out of reach for me.
As I dug deeper, I uncovered food intolerances that I had never considered, which not only opened new doors for me but also expanded my understanding of my body's unique needs. This knowledge became crucial as I navigated life's challenges, including financial barriers and the daunting question: When would I stop depending on medications?
My experience with conventional acne treatments, like Accutane, led to significant medical issues like chronic joint problems, shin splints, and even fainting during a high school baseball game. These side effects made me question the conventional medical route and fueled my passion for creating more accessible and holistic health solutions. This is how Strands was born - out of a necessity to understand and take charge of my own health, affordably and effectively.
